Our Victory Social and Medal Presentation took place in the Silver Springs Hotel on last Saturday night with as fine crowd present. Juvenile Club Chairman Mark O Connell and Senior Club Chairman co-hosted the very successful night. Our guest speakers were Jerry Walsh Rebel Og vice-chairman and Mark Sheehan Co. Board Vice Chairman. They both spoke in complimentary terms of the Bride Rovers Club and the successes of 2018. They also spoke of the Club Development in recent years and the role of the GAA Club in our Community. Both paid tribute to the great leadership given to Cork GAA by Gerard Lane who is now a Cork Delegate to the Munster Council. The Medals were presented to our under 14 hurlers who won the County Premier League defeating St Finbarrs in the Final captained by Adam Hayes. Next up were the Minor Hurlers who won the County Premier 2 Championship and League double captained by Conor Barry. Finally our under 21 Hurlers, East cork and County Champions were honoured- led by their captain Shane Walsh.

Tributes were paid to the Late Dan Quill for his tremendous work for the Club over many years. Club Chairman Richie O Regan made a special presentation to Gerard Lane as a token of appreciation for all the work he has done over several decades and his wife Theresa was presented with a bouquet of flowers. Fr O Donnell said Grace before and after the meal. Thanks to all who organised the event and all who donated raffle prizes



Division 1 County Hurling League.

On Saturday last we were away to Midleton in Round 2 of the League. A closely contested first half saw the home side lead by a narrow margin of just two points , 0 10 to 0 08.  Midleton completely dominated the second half scoring a further 13 points to our 5 leaving them winners by 23 points to 13. panel; S. Our Minors started their football league campaign away to Killeagh On Monday. A very strong wind and heavy rain made football very hard to play. But our team just came up short losing 3-3 to 2-2
A great effort in horrendous conditions. Well done to both teams.

Under 12's Busy Start.

The Under 12 hurlers and footballers had a busy weekend. On Saturday  they played a challenge hurling game v Sarsfields which we lost. On Sunday we were at home to Kilara Og in the Rebel Og  League and we won this game. On next Saturday we are at home to Cobh in a Football League game.


Well Done Clara.

Congrats to Clara Mohally who finished in runners up position in the solo Singing at the Co. Final of Scor na bPaisti in ovens last Saturday. Clara has done her family, club and school proud all during the competition. Thanks to her teachers Miss Kelleher and Miss Keane.



The Jackpot on Tuesday March 5th was €20,000 and the four numbers drawn were 6,10,12 and 19 -there was no winner. The following won €30 each; Alison, Marie & Annemarie C/o LAYA, Lisa Kenny, James Barry, Sean Barry and S. White.
