OPEN NIGHT

Dungourney GAA club welcomed all the local community groups and clubs to view our new facilities at the club grounds on Monday night last Feburary the 25th.

Representatives from the Camogie club, Kiltha Og ,Clonmult Point to Point ,Clonmult Community Co Op and also from our sponsors East Cork Crane Hire and Rigney Brothers Garage attended. All those who attended were impressed with the new gym meeting/function room and the ball alley viewing area.

Our Chairperson Orla Kelleher addressed the attendance, she told them that the new facilities were available to the local community and thanked everybody for the work and support received from all that has made this venture so successful.

It was great to see so many people enjoying a chat and a cup of tea looking at old photographs and admiring the surroundings we hop its the first of many such occasions in the new function room.

 

Aidan Flynn presented a cheque to John Barry of the proceeds of the long puck for the ongoing work of Father Michael Barry in Kenya ,Father Mike has been working hard in Africa for many years now and will make good use of the money.

 

Fixtures

Dungourney will play Russell Rovers in the junio football league on next Sunday March 11th at 11 am.

The Intermediate hurling league match vs Iniscarra scheduled for last Sunday was cancelled due to the waeather it will be re fixed for another date.
