JUVENILE NOTES

Carrigaline Court Championship draws for Fe18, Fe 16 and Fe14

Minor Championship:

Fe 16 Championship: Our Fe16’s drew Ballygarvan in their first-round clash scheduled for 31st July, further details to be confirmed at a later stage. A victory in this game would see us advance to a semi-final and with no back door in this competition a loss would see our bid for silverware ended.

Fe 14 Championship: Our Fe14’s will play Cobh in their first round tie. The game is due to be played around the 16th August with venue and time to be confirmed at a later date. A coveted place in the semi-final is the prize for the winners with the losers ending their championship campaign. Lots of exciting games ahead so keep an eye for further details and come out to support the boys.

U9 Football and Hurling

Killeagh U9's played three league games in the last few week. Bride Rovers were the visitors to Killeagh for the hurling league on 27th June. Killeagh played really well from start to finish and were worthy winners at the end. The striking is improving and skills-wise all the lads are developing well. We travelled to Castlemartyr on 1st of July for our final Football league match before the mid-season break. Killeagh started brightly and combined well to get some early scores on the board. Despite the best efforts of Kiltha Og our lads ran out comfortable winners at the fulltime whistle. Kiltha Og travelled to Pairc Ui Chinneide on 12th July for the U9 hurling league. Both teams had full squads of players available for the games. There were some great individual displays on the night. The stickwork and skills on show pleased the team management, as it shows the training and time being put in is paying off. There were some great passages of teamwork which resulted in great scores. Killeagh emerged the victors in both matches. There will now be a break in the league fixtures for a few weeks.

The U9 squad is as follows: Alex Fogarty, Alex Howey, Andrew Brenner, Ben Geary, Billy Guerin, Callum Power, Cathal Brennan, Cayden Hyde, Cormac Deane, Cormac Delaney, Daniel Geary, Darragh Sheehan, Diarmuid Fitzpatrick, Eoin Sheehan, John Farquhar, Patrick Dineen, Rian Lane, Rian O'Connor, Ryan Murphy, Sean O'Leary, Seanan McDonnell, Tom Power Golf Society:

Society Outing:

HEALTHY CLUB WALK NO. 18 Sunday July 30th 10.00 a.m. Galtybeg / Galtymore Hill Walk. For those who are perhaps slightly more ambitious, we will walk to the summit of Galtybeg and perhaps Galtymore, the highest point in the spectacular Galtee mountain range. This is a 3-4 hour round trip, and requires a reasonable degree of physical fitness, and may not be suitable for very young children. This is a

preparatory hill walk in advance of our planned assault of Carrauntouhill at the end of August, with details of this adventure to be provided in the coming weeks. Again, text Colman if you intend to come on this hill walk.
