Senior Hurling League Carrigtwohill 0-12 Bride Rovers 0-12 in Carrigtwohill on Saturday April 1st
Carrig shared the spoils with Bride Rovers in a recent Round 4 Senior Hurling league game played in Carrigtwohill. The sides were deadlocked 12 points each at the end which was probably the fair result with no more than a point separating the sides during the hour.
Carrig led at the break by 6 points to 5 having played against a slight breeze in the opening period with Darren O Driscoll prominent in attack scoring a succession of fine points.
Both defences were in control in the second half and scores were hard to come by. With the game tied at 12 points each coming towards the end, Carrig had a number of chances to gain victory but unfortunately could not secure the match winning score. All in all a fair result.

Senior Hurling League Carrigtwohill 1-10 Erins Own 3-21 in Carrigtwohill on Thursday April 13th
An early onslaught of scores from a well-organised Erins Own outfit put paid to any chance Carrigtwohill had in this latest round of the Senior Hurling League.
The Glounthaune men led by 2-15 to 6 points at half time after scoring 1-5 in the opening five minutes. Carrig’s only pointed reply during that period came from corner forward Brendan McCarthy. Erins Own rattled off another 1-5 as space was found in the Carrig defense before Cathal O’ Sullivan and Brendan McCarthy again answered with a brace of points, leaving Carrig trailing 2-10 to 3 points at the twenty minute mark. Erins Own closed out the half with another 5 points as Darren O’Driscoll, Dara Crotty and a long range Padraic Hogan free elevated Carrig’s total to 6 points.
The second half was no kinder to Carrig as they conceded a goal within 2 minutes of the resumption. Nevertheless, Carrig battled back gamely and this half proved to be much more of a contest. Tomás Hogan slotted a difficult free by the far sideline and Sean Rohan pointed from distance on 37 minutes. Erins Own tacked on a couple of points in reply. The 45th minute Carrig goal was a thing of beauty as Shane Devlin stopped the ball from going dead and drove it long into the full forward line where substitute Christopher Keegan caught it clean and handpassed to the onrushing Tomás Hogan who laid it inside to Dara Crotty and Crotty finished handily past the keeper. Hogan added another two points from play and a free to end a tough evening for Carrig on a scoreline of 3-21 to 1-10.
