Senior hurling challenge v Ballyduff Upper on Sunday 26th February Carrigtwohill 3-19 Ballyduff Upper 1-12

Carrig’s senior hurlers continued their build-up to the RedFM League with a strong performance against Ballyduff Upper in Carrig last Sunday. Carrig put themselves in a commanding position with two goals in as many minutes from Darren O’Driscoll approaching half-time, turning around a four point deficit in the process.

By the break Carrig led by 2-8 to 0-8 having played against a stiff wind in the first half. Wing back Jay Horgan contributed handsomely to Carrig’s lead with two magnificent long range points with Tomas Hogan and Shane Healy also finding the target.

Carrig kept up the pressure in the second half with O’Driscoll completing his hat-trick after an intelligent build-up; Christopher Keegan played a sweet final ball and Carrig’s full forward applied a clever finish from close range.

Sean Rohan added a few lovely points from wing forward while the impressive Aaron Gosnell also strode forward from corner back to find the target.
