Midleton Gaa, Ladies Football & Camogie Club News

Long Puck On St Stephens morning last in fabulous weather one of our largest crowds turned out for our annual Sean Keohane Memorial Long Puck competition. The buses left the GAA Club just after 9.30am and travelled to Lisgoold, the Juveniles along with their coaches and parents began at the usual half way location and the adults started from the village. After almost two hours of ball striking covering the 6km route to the East Cork Oil depot at Broomfield the team of Padraig O’Shea, Christopher & Patrick Dunlea finished winners on 64 shots. Juvenile Chairman Cormac Quirke thanked all the participants, helpers and the Keohane family for attending this event in honour of the late Sean. Sean’s grandchildren and brothers Donal & Ciaren Keohane presented the winning team with their impressive trophy’s and the Memorial Plaque.

Condolences The Executive of the Club would like to offer their sincere condolences to the familys of the late Maurice Horgan (Knockgriffin), Esther O’ Leary (Leamlara) and Tom Joe O’Riordan Vice President of the East Cork Board and President of Castlelyons Gaa.

Lotto Our Lotto Jackpot was €8,000 there was no winner, the numbers were 6,9,20 & 24, the Lucky Dip winners were Padraig Griffin, John Kenneally, Mary Lordan, Deirdre Doyle & Dan Cronin, next week’s Jackpot will be €8,200.. Tickets are on sale at the Club Bar, O‘Neills Bar, Linehan’s Bar, Maple Leaf Bar, O’ Farrell’s Butchers, Frank Murphy Butchers, Pat Walsh Paints, Chadwicks, Teach Beag & Niall Mac’s Bars.

BINGO takes place next Friday evening @ 8pm in the GAA Pavilion with a weekly guaranteed Jackpot of €1,000.

Club Shop The Club Shop is CLOSED and will re open on Saturday the 14th of January from 10 to 12.
