Last Monday Night in a wet and windy Macroom Park GAA our Minor Footballers took on the Challenge for the right to become League Champions. It was a very exciting game despite the terrible conditions in the end Ran Macroom ran out two point winners.

Our Junior B footballers played their last league game away to a strong Russell rover’s side at the weekend. It was and hard and tough fought contest in the end Russell Rover’s ran out four point winners this leaves us in second place while the teams below us have one more game to play.

The intermediate Footballers wrapped up their season with a draw at home to Ballinora. Final Score was 1-13 to 0-16.

Glenville GAA Club offers its sincere condolences to the Family of Local Referee Dominic Rooney of Carrigtwohill who died suddenly last Saturday Afternoon while Referee a Camogie game. Dom was a very popular Referee and was a regular visitor in Watergrasshill and in Glenville GAA. He refereed many of our under age games throughout the years a very respectfully man and always explain why he blew the whistle. Our Tough’s. Are with his wife and Children at this Sad Time. May he Rest in Peace. . Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
