Glenville GAA Club Newsletter

Wednesday September 28th 2016.

Conditions were far from perfect last Friday night when our Junior B Footballers took on St Catherine’s in the League. Both Teams played out a fast a free flowing game of football and by the half time whistle we held a two point lead 0-8 to 2-0. We upped the tempo in the sound half with our fast movement of the ball in the end we ran out four point winners on a score line of 1-11 to 2-4.

The Following Monday we faced Castlemartyr in a cracking game with both team giving it their all in the end we ran out one point winners 1-8 to 1-7. We have one final league game to play which will be away to Russell Rovers this Sunday where a win will guarantee us a place in the league final as we are going for three in a row this year.

Juvenile action

Under 15 Challenge v Glanmire

With Championship in two weeks’ time our under 15 team played Glanmire in a Challenge game. Both teams played out a very sporting game of football with Glanmire coming out on top in the end. We will be hoping to have another Challenge in the next week or two before our show down with Cobh on October 15th.

Well done to the Minor hurlers who defeated Lisgoold in the county final Last Saturday in Mayfield.
