The winning numbers drawn were 19,20,21,25 bonus 7.

Congratulations to the Cloyne Ladies Football Club who were the only match 3 winners and receive €150.

Next week’s draw for a €2200 jackpot will take place in Harty’s Bar with tickets costing only €2 available from all local outlets and committee members.

Junior Hurling;

The Junior hurlers continued their championship campaign when they took on Watergrasshill on Wednesday last in Lisgoold.Conditions on the night were not condusive to good hurling with a constant rain and low lying fog.

The scores were level at half time 1.02 to 5 points our goal scored by the in form Ciaran Mullins. We were quick out of the blocks in the second half with 2 unanswered points and when Chris Smith kicked an excellent goal we were motoring well. Watergrasshill to their credit replied quickly to the goal with one of their own and closed the gap further with a pointed free.

The remainder of the game was point for point and crucially at the final whistle in near darkness we were one to the good 2.07 to 1.09.

Our reward for this win is a semi-final v Youghal fixed for Killeagh on Sunday night,

Semi-Final v Youghal

Sunday night in Killeagh was the venue for the first semi-final of this year’s Junior B championship.

Let me paint the picture 11 points down at half time 12 pts to 1 and a man down from the 15th minute of the second half so you would be forgiven to think that things didn’t go to well for us but that’s where you would be wrong as a second half of heart and determination brought about a win that no one could have foreseen.

Playing against the gale and driving rain in the first half we did very well in not conceding a goal although our only score was a David Ring free.

The second half we started well with points from Cian Motherway from a free and a Declan Dinneen point from the half back line. Cian from a long range free going all the way to the net was the boost we needed but this was negated by a Youghal point from play their first point for 15 minutes.

We scored the next 3 points a Cian free followed by points apiece from Ciaran Mullins and Chris Smith to close the gap even further.

2 Youghal points one from play and another from a free seemed to have weathered the storm but a long ball from Graham Fleming went all the way to the net to keep our hopes alive only a goal behind with time running down.

Ciaran Mullins with a point from play closed the gap to the most dangerous of leads 2 points. Displaying great courage and determination we kept battling to

the bitter end when Chris Smith finished a ground shot to the net in injury time to seal a famous win.

We now await the result of the other semi-final between Killeagh and Sars to determine our final opponents.

Intermediate Hurling;

Our penultimate league game of the season was a winning one when we overcame Courcey Rovers at home on Saturday evening.

Paudie O’Sullivan opened the scoring with a point from play but Courceys scored the next 3 points to go ahead and were giving as good as they were getting.

Two Paudie goals in quick succession one a penalty following a foul on Colm O’Sullivan opened up a lead we would never surrender. Dillon Cahill was very accurate from frees scoring 3 in the half and Brian Walsh made a huge impact when coming of the bench scoring 1.02 to give us a healthy 3 goal lead at the break 3.07 to 7 pts.

Courceys started the second half in determined fashion with the first 2 points but a goal from Colm took the wind out of their sails somewhat.

Substitutes Ashley Walsh with 3 pts and Ciaran Mullins with 1.01 kept the scoreboard ticking over and despite the concession of 2 late goals we still ran out worthy winners 5.16 to 2.12.
