U21 Hurling Championship.

Commiserations to the St Colman’s U21 hurlers who were defeated in the semi-final by a very strong Erin’s Own team. A very young St Colman’s outfit gave a very spirited performance and led by a point at the break, however their ability to score goals at crucial stages gave Erin’s Own a merited 4.17 to 5.07 victory.

Junior Football League;

Our first game of football since defeating Dungourney on 8th May took place on Sunday night last when we travelled to Lisgoold for round 4 of the division 1 league. The 4-month layoff was evident in the early stages with many missed chances but after conceding the first goal of the game we eventually found our range and rhythm. We scored 3 good goals from Paudie O’Sullivan and 2 from Diarmuid O’Sullivan one of which was a penalty to go with some point taking to run out convincing 3.12 to 1.01 winners.

Intermediate Hurling Championship.

On Sunday last we hosted the IHC game between Fr O’Neills and Castlemartyr.Despite the local derby the game never took off with Fr O’Neills comfortable throughout. Our thanks to all who helped out as stewards on the day despite the very inclement weather.
