Minors Remain Unbeaten in the 2016 Saga

It may be early days but so far in the 2016 Saga our Minor Footballers are still Unbeaten in the League Campaign with Championship fixed for next week against Macroom it is important that we come into this match fresh and fit as I can guarantee ye that there will be fireworks at this match expect dram expect excitement. So Far our League Campaign to date reads Glenville 8 wins out of 8 win two games left to play and a place in the League Final More that less secured but next Wednesday afternoon we will face a stern test against a strong and physical Macroom side arguably this will be our toughest match we will play this year and whoever emerges victorious is more than likely going to win the Championship. The best of luck to the lads and Management Team Throw in Time is at 7:30 Next Wednesday Night Venue Macroom.

Juvenile Round

It’s been a great week for our Juvenile Team with win for our under 14 Minors and 10 Footballers. Our Minors had a four Point over FR O’Neill’s in the League while our under 14 had a Great Win over Clyda Rovers in the Group Stage of the Padraigh Kelleher Cup with both teams serving up a high scoring encounter in a fast and free flowing game with a final score of Glenville 4-14 Clyda Rovers 3-10. Our under 10 Recorded an impressive victory against Clyda also in a recent friendly game.

Minor Footballers winning steak comes to an end.

Last Wednesday Night our Minor Footballers suffered their first defeat in the 2016 Campaign at the hands of a strong Macroom side in the first round of the Championship also at stake were two very important league points as well. Macroom were always on top during the first period of the match as they kept our lads scoreless for 28 minutes we had a real mountain to climb trailing by 1-8 to 0-2 points at the interval. But Full credit must go to the lads who put up a great second half but unfortunately were beaten by four points in the end hard luck lads’ great team spirit.
