Cloyne GAA Notes;

We had no winner of last week’s lotto draw for a €8,600 jackpot or no winner of the €1000 prize for matching 3 numbers plus the bonus.

The winning numbers drawn were 1,12,16,27 bonus 25.

We had no match 3 winners so the following 5 lucky dip winners each receive €25.

Martin Cunningham Berkley Court.

Jack Murphy c/o Anthony Murphy.

Cait O’Donovan c/o Colm O’Sullivan.

Next week’s draw for a €8,800 jackpot will be held in Auntie Biddies bar with tickets costing only €2 are available from all local outlets and committee members.

Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship;

The Intermediate hurling panel and management continue to put in the hard work ahead of next Saturday night’s quarter final tie against pre championship favourites Ballinhassig.

League games were proving hard to organise at this time of the year so the team headed across the county bounds for two challenge matches over the last week.

First up on Thursday night last was a trip to the impressive WIT grounds to take on Roanmore of Waterford City. Despite scoring 5.09 we lost by 3 points on the night but it was a worthwhile exercise all the same despite the journey distance.

On Saturday night we crossed the border at Youghal but only to travel to Ardmore to take on the local outfit; this was a much better performance where we scored 2.24 to run our convincing winners.

Hopefully these two games will have the desired effect as we face Ballinhassig on Saturday night next.
