KILLEAGH GAA NEWS! There was no winner of this weeks club lotto draw. The jackpot now stands at 4800 euro. The numbers drawn were 14, 23 ,28. (remember if you're not in you cant win.) JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP. On Friday night last we travelled to to Dungourney with a small band of vocal suporters to see if we could advance to the quarter final stages of the competition. The opening half ebbed and flowed, both sides guilty of wayward wides. We went three points clear before Dungorney scored 1-1 in quick succession and we tacked on two more before the break. Killeagh 0-5 to Dungorney 1-1 at half time. Someone must have given them a good talking to at half time as we emerged a different team. One of the younger members of the team Joe Budds opened our goal scoring account and we tacked on another 7 points in the second half. But all was not over with the emergence of young at heart team member Noel Long known as the football head to many in Killeagh. Only 5 minutes on the park was on the receiving end of a pass from John Walsh, never panicked and slotted it into the right hand corner of the net and we emerged victorious on the night. Well done to all concerned. FIXTURES: Junior B Football Championship, Glenbower Rovers vs Glenville at 7:30pm Wed night 14th in Cobh (top field). Support vital!!!!
