John Cronin’s championship start see Cork progress in the hurling qualifiers

Well done to John Cronin and the Cork team who beat Dublin in the All-Ireland Hurling Qualifier in Pairc Ui Rinn last Saturday. As usual, Johnsie gave a wholehearted display and set the tone for an improved work rate from the forward line.


Junior Round-Up.

29/06/16. East Cork JHL Lisgoold 0-11 vs 1-13 St. Catherine’s.  

03/07/16. County JHL Game conceded by St. Colums.

After last Wed’s defeat to St. Catherine’s, Lisgoold has played 7 of the 9 games in the East Cork Div. 1 and sit in 4th place on 6 points. Last Sunday’s concession of the county league game by St. Colum’s leaves Lisgoold in 2nd place in the league on 7 points from 4 games. At the time of writing, the second round tie in the East Cork Junior A championship versus Fr. O’Neills has not been fixed.



Juvenile Round Up

Congratulations to the U15s who advanced in the County championship after a hard fought win over Fr. O’Neills. Also, well done to U16s on their championship win over Kinsale last Mon.

01/07/16 U12 C Hurling League: Lisgoold 1-03 vs 2-07 Kinsale.



06/07/16 U18B Hurling League. Lisgoold vs Whitechurch at 19:30 (away).

09/07/16 U18C Football League. Lisgoold vs Lee Gaels (home).


Monthly Meeting

Reminder of the club’s monthly meeting which takes place in the clubhouse in the 2nd Monday each month, this month on Jul 11th at 9:00 PM.


Best wishes to Killian Kingston

The club wishes Killian, who last weekend became the Munster Senior road bowling champion, the best of luck in his contest with Thomas Mackle, holder of the Ulster crown, the All-Ireland Bowling final this coming weekend.


Kelloggs/Lisgoold GAA Cúl Camp.

Currently there is over 40 registered for the Cul Camp which is running from the 18th July to the 22nd July from 10.30 to 2.30pm. It is open the children between 6 and 13 years. Registration can be completed online, In order to receive the Cúl Camp gear registration must be completed by Sunday the 10th July.
