Junior Hurling League.

On Tuesday night last we travelled to Riverstown to take on Sars in round 5 of the East Cork Division 2 league. Short a few regulars and despite scoring some fine scores we were beaten by a more balanced outfit on a 3.16 to 2.10 scoreline.

This result leaves us currently mid table on 6 points with 4 league games remaining.

The Junior team will more than likely be in championship action on the first weekend in July watch locally and on social media for further details.

Best Wishes;

The club would like to wish best wishes and a speedy recovery to players,Eoin O’Sullivan,Ashley Walsh and Alan Roberts who incredibly all suffered broken thumbs over the last 2 weeks.

Tickets for what will be a very enjoyable night are only €20 and are available from all GAA and Community Council committee members.

All 36 contestants are in place and looking forward to pitting themselves against “The Kube” for the €1000 winner’s prize. Tickets for the event are selling fast for what will be an excellent nights entertainment with a bar extension and disco to finish the night. So come along and cheer for your favourite on the night.

Golf Society;

Ireland’s outstanding victory over Italy necessitated the cancelling of our Captain’s Prize which clashed with the French match on Sunday.UEFA wouldn’t change the game to 8pm which would have suited everyone so we had no option but to change, the prize will now go ahead on Sunday 17th July instead again at Castlemartyr Golf Club at 13.50pm.
