Carrigtwohill 4 8 St Catherine’s 0 8
On a beautiful evening for football, Carrig took on St. Catherine’s
Due to under 16s playing earlier that evening, caring were under pressure to field and team but all players must be thanked for a special effort made to attend.
We were slow to start but in the early stages when carrig upped the work we began to get scores. Discipline was excellent and this was evident in work rate and keeping the free count down.
Carrig played a fantastic brand of football throughout, left and right was evident in the forwards, Daire Crottys left stole the show with an early goal followed by another few points. Gosnell was accurate from frees which put the pressure on the early stages, Brendan Twomey worked hard on breaking ball throughout.  Carrig led at half time and were in good shape going into the second half

Tomas Hogan was terrific from placed balls and finished the match with a ten point haul, including two points from play. Junior A Football League Carrigtwohill v Fr O’ Neills in Carrigtwohill Wednesdy 20th April 2016

Carrigtwohill: 0 17 Fr O’ Neills 0 10

Played on a beautiful April evening, this game was an excellent pre championship exercise for a young Carrig team. Neil and Jay who came down from Dublin especially for this game and both performed excellently on the night. Carrig started poorly and were down 9 points to 5 at half time with Luke scoring 3 difficult frees. .  A feature of the first half was that Carrig actually had more shots at goal than O Neills.  For the second half Carrig played with the slight breeze to their backs and restricted O Neills to just one point whilst putting up a huge score of 12 points of their own. This was the largest score we have put up all year and a credit to all 15 players. Shane Healy, Paraic, Seamus Roche and Neilo had outstanding games. We do appear to be slow starters so hopefully for the championship we can play for the full 60 Minutes.
