Junior A and B Championship This weekend

Having gotten over the disappointment from two week’s previous our Junior A Footballers will be back in action this Saturday afternoon as we face our Rivals Bride Rovers in the second of the East Cork Championship. At the time of writing there has been no Venue decided yet.

Originally down for decision for Friday April 1st the Junior B Football Championship v Youghal was  Called off due to the bad weather the re fixture for this tie will take place this forthcoming Friday afternoon at 7:00 No Venue Confirmed yet. Both teams meet in the first round of the same competition last year with the outcome going in favour of the men in the black and amber on a score line of 4-8 to 1-13.

A Win at Last for our Intermediate Footballers Cork County Division 3 Intermediate Football League v Kinsale Venue Fouhys

Our intermediate footballers recorded their first league win of the season as they saw off a dogged Kinsale Side on home soil. Throw in was delayed by 20minutes as this match was originally down to be played in Glenville but due to floods it was diverted to Fouhys. Played in below freezing conditions and playing with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half it was our lads that would register the opening score coming from PJ Denhenny. It was a very even first half at by the short whistle we held a 1-4 to 0-2 lead at the interval. Our other three points came from PJ, Josh Cooke and Ben Halbert the Goal Scorer was Dylan Mc Carthy. We took control in the second half as Kinsale found it hard to keep up with our lads and by the time the full time whistle blew we were comfortable winners in the end.

Rebel Og East Minor A Football League v Fa O’Neill’s

Our Minor A Footballers continued their unbeaten run the A Division of the rebel og East as we easily saw off a Dogged Fa O’Neill on home soil.  Over all it was a great performance by our lads everyone played Excellent.

St Coleman’s 1-4

Our under 16 Footballers recorded their third League Victory of the season as we saw off a strong and youthful St Coleman’s side. Over all it was a great performance by all our lads we are still unbeaten in the league.



Rebel Og East under 13 A Football League v Inniscarra

Our under 13 Footballers recorded their first league win of the season as they saw off a Dogged Inniscarra side on Monday afternoon last. We had a total of 18 players on the night with all getting equal amount of game time well done lads on a great win.

Rebel og Central Premier 1 under 12 Football League

Glenville 0-5

Last Friday afternoon our under 12 played their league game in the premier 1 grade on this occasion we faced a very strong and powerful Mallow side. In the end the home team ran out comfortable winners.

Lotto Jackpot

          Tonight lotto jackpot is worth €8000. There was no winner from last week’s draw winning numbers on the night were 6, 9, 13 and 18. Small Cash Prize winners were John + Joan Meehan, Pat Buckley, Eugene O’Neill and Martin + Bensalem. Next week’s Draw will take place in Kades.
