Next week’s draw for a €3,800 jackpot will take place in Harty’s Bar and Restaurant with tickets available from all local outlets.

The first winner of 2016 of the 96FM sports star of the month is our own Jerry O’Sullivan who as you will be aware by now has been installed as the Chairman of the Munster Council for the next 3 years. Congratulations Jerry from all the members and friends of Cloyne GAA Club.

Inter County;

If you were told you were going to score 1.21 in a hurling game you would be confident of victory but this wasn’t the case for Cork hurlers who went down by 6 points to Galway in round 1 of this year’s Allianz league. With only 5 games in the league and only 2 at home Cork are already under pressure to qualify for the quarter finals. Next up is a must win game against the reigning league Champions Waterford in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday evening next 20th February. Well done to Paudie O’Sullivan who contributed 2 points to the cause before his late substitution.

Cloyne Commons Challenge;

The second last race in this year’s 4k Commons Challenge takes place next Sunday morning 21st February at 9.30am.Registration as usual will be at Harty’s Bar and Restaurant costing only €5 with a tee-shirt for all finishers that complete 4 of the 5 races.
