Carrigtwohill Club Notes

07 February, 2016

Under 21 Football.

Cariigtwohill under 21 footballers continued their preparations for the championship when they played out a 1 6 to 1  6 draw in a lively challenge game against Lisgoold played in difficult underfoot conditions last Sunday morning in Carrigtwohill. Credit to management and players who are putting in a huge effort and are eagerly looking forward to their championship game against  St Catherines.Eighteen players saw game time and a few regulars are due to return to further strengthen the team.

Carrig were by far the better team in the first half playing some excellent football and were full value for their 1 5 to 0 1 lead at the break , the goal coming from Ronan Donnelly.

The loss of Eoghan and Conor O'Mahony through injury after half time seemed to upset Carrig 's rhythm with the result that Lisgoold came more into the game with both sides finishing all square 1 6 each at the final whistle.
