Football season gets underway
The football season got underway this weekend as our U21s played Carrigtwohill in a challenge game last Sun in Carrigtwohill. The match ended in a draw, 1-06 apiece, and proved a useful workout in difficult conditions as Sully’s lads prepare for the championship.

Juvenile Club

Last Monday, Shane Supple, Games Development Administrator visited, to get to know our club better and to discuss the plans to continue to develop our club.

We held our registration on Saturday morning, and it was very encouraging to welcome so many new members. We have 85 kids U6-U10. It is not too late to register – if you could not make it on sat, please follow-up with your teams coach or, any Juvenile Club official.

Thanks to Collette Moynihan from AllFirstAid for delivering a First Aid course to 8 coaches and mentors.

Sincere thanks to Paudie Ryan for his generous sponsorship of a set of U8 jerseys.

Bubbles Blow for CIT
Well done to John Cronin and John Cashman who played significant roles as CIT advanced into the quarter finals of the Fitzgibbon cup at the expense of UUJ on a score of 1-18 to 1-14. By all accounts, this encounter in Belfast was a close fought game in which the Lisgoold pair between them contributed 0-3 points. The match was notable in the uncharacteristic straight red for Tipperary's John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer who is likely to miss the Quarter-Final next weekend. However, Cashy is an ace marksman and more than an able deputy should Bubbles be ruled out.

Imokilly Senior Hurling Team News
Best wishes to Ciaran Cronin who rejoins the Imokilly Senior Hurling panel with the added responsibility this year in the backroom team as goalkeeping coach.
