We had no winner of last weeks Lotto draw for a €2,800 jackpot or no winner of the match 3 plus the bonus prize of €1000.

The winning numbers drawn were 5,21,24,27 bonus 2.

Congratulations to Patsy O’Mahony c/o Mike Naughton who was the only match 3 winner and receives €150.

Next week’s draw for a €3000 jackpot will be held in the Tower Bar with tickets available from local outlets and committee members.


Cork Senior Hurlers continued their Munster Senior hurling League campaign with a victory over Waterford at a cold and wet Mallow venue, and suffered a defeat to Limerick back in Mallow again to finish their campaign with 2 wins and 2 defeats. Paudie O’Sullivan continues his involvement in the half forward line and brother Diarmuid gets used to life as a selector.


Training for all club players begins on Tuesday night 19th January under the watchful eye of manager Tomas O’Brien selectors Cathal Cronin, Paul Cahill and strength and conditioning coach Kevin Tatten.


4k Commons Challenge.

Race number 3 of the 5 race 4k series takes place next Sunday 24th January at the usual time of 9.30 am. Registration takes place at Harty’s Bar and Restaurant costing €5. All runners that complete 4 of the 5 races will receive a Tee Shirt.


The club wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of the late James O’Sullivan President of Russell Rvs, Mr Desmond Furney of Kilva Cloyne and to Jack Crowley on the death of his sister.



2016 membership is due to be paid before March 17th to registrar Mick Halloran or any committee member as follows.


Adult Player €100 plus €100 for Gym.

U21 player €50 plus €100 for Gym.

U18 player €30 plus €100 for Gym.
