Under 16 Hopes dashed at the semi Final Stage

Rebel OG County under 16 A Football Semi Final v Urhan

Venue Cill Na Matra

Glenville 2-14

Urhan 3-15 (AET)

Glenville’s under 16 footballer’s hopes of reaching the A county Final were dashed at the hands of a strong Urhan Side. Both teams played out a great game of Gaelic Football and despite the match going into Extra Time the opposition were the stronger of two. Hard Luck to our lads on which I must point out had a Magnificent Year in Capturing the East Cork Title the very best of luck to Urhan in the County Final. As for our lads the season of 2015 has come to end but the work rate the dedication and commitment these lads have given to the club they can be very proud of themselves we will look forward to what is in store for us in 2016.

Padraigh Kelleher Memorial Cup Group Stage Round 2 V Clyda Rovers Venue Fouhy Park

Glenville 4-10

Clyda Rovers 3-7

On Sunday Evening last our under 14 footballer’s played their second match in the Padraigh Kelleher Memorial Cup having already won their opening match against Mallow the prevision week a victory here tonight would nearly guarantee us a place in the final. We faced a stern test in Clyda Rovers and a very Nip and Tuck first half saw Glenville hold a 3-6 to 2-5 Half Time lead. Both Teams picked up the pace in the second half but at the end of 60th minutes we came out six point winners. We now have one more game left to play which is against Glanmire which will be fixed in the coming weeks.
