Aghada GAA Report Juvenile

The AGM of the Juvenile Club will take place in the Clubrooms next Thur night 12th Nov at 7-30pm

After another very good year at Juvenile level its time to review the year gone and plan for the one ahead.

It would be great to have a big crowd at the meeting.

Our young lads are showing the way with their commitment to the Club. We as Adult members and Parents should row in behind them and give them the best start we can in life, the Juvenile covers all under age up to Minor (u18).

Want to get involved in coaching or just helping out, we would love to have you on board remember full training will be provided by the Club so you wont be thrown in at the deep end.

County Win for Aghada U16 Football Squad

Sunday morning started with an orange weather warning but the GREEN light was on for Aghada U16 Players, mentors and the many supporters who travelled to Ballygarven to compete in the 2015 U16B Football County Final V Bantry. The journey to today’s final Aghada had comfortable wins in the East Region over Macroom and Ballinhassig but were severely tested in their semi-final against Aghabullogue. They defeated Ballygarvan to capture the East Title and had seven points to spare over Dromtarriffee in the County Semi-final. The County final begins at noon, with Aghada playing with the strong wind in the first half, they remained focus and displayed great team work with superb performance from each player. The half time score put Aghada in front on a score line of 1-03 to 0-02. Bantry players upped their game in the second half and got some fantastic scores. The final whistle sounded by Réiteoir Pat O’ Leary to the delight of All Aghada players and supporters as this game ended on a score line of Aghada 1.06 to Bantry 1.05. This is a great achievement for this set of Aghada Players. Great credit must be given also to the commitment of Team Manager Eoin O’ Neill and mentors John O’Neill, David Fitzmaurice and Eric Smith.
