East Cork Title up for Grabs this weekend.

The first Piece of Silver wear is up for Grabs this Weekend as our under 16 Footballers will be looking to make admen’s from last Year’s East Cork Final Defeat to Sliabh Rua as they bid to Become the East Cork Champions. This Year we face a new opposition in Kilmurry in which this will be our third meeting this year with the victory on both previous occasions going to the opposition. Our lads have been Training very hard over the last few weeks as they set to win the East Cork Title that they lost last Year. As in the previous year both teams will automatically qualify for the county semi-final no matter what the result is. Throw in is a 2:00 This Saturday in Blarney.

Cork County Division 3 Intermediate Football League v Cill Na Matra

Glenville’s intermediate footballers entertained Cill Na Marta in their last league game of the year when this round 11 Tie was played under lights in Fouhys. Conditions on the night were very damp and wet. Glenville decided to play against the breeze in the first half which was very nip and tuck and at the interval we were only four points down 2-2 to 0-4. Our First Half Scores Came From Pa Cronin, Josh Cooke, and Kieran Coakley. We upped the tempo in

the second half and scored some really good scores in which was a free flowing match in the end the opposition ran out Two Point Winners. Our Second Half Scores came from Josh Cooke, and Noel O’Riordan our Goal Scorers were Kieran Coakley and Denis Hegarty.

Premier 2 under 14 Football Challenge v Glanmire

Last Friday Afternoon Glenville under 14 Footballers entertained Glanmire on Home soil in a Challenge Match. This was a preparation match for the upcoming League Semi-final against Carbery Rangers. Glenville decide to play against the light Breeze in the first half and at the interval we held a 3-7 to 1-2 Lead. Glanmire came into the match in second half but our lads were that more strong and physical as we came away with a victory.

Glenville under 16 Footballers continued their preparation for the upcoming East Cork Final against Kilmurry with a challenge match against Glanmire. Conditions on the day were ideal as both teams played out a thriller of a game. In the end we were beaten by four points hopefully now the lads can take this performance as a positive and come away with a winning result against Kilmurry. We

would like to whish the players and management the very best of Luck This Saturday in the Final.

Juvenile Training has now moved to Fouhy Park now for the remainder of the season on Wednesday from 7-8.

Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot that was worth €5500. Winning Numbers on the night were 2, 5, 18 and 22. Small Cash prize winners of €20 were Kevin Barry, Martin Purcell, Mary Fitzgerald and Enda. Next week’s Jackpot is worth €5600 Draw will take place in Kades.
