St Colman’s

Congratulations to the St Colman’s U13 hurlers who won the County title on Saturday last. Playing against a stiff wind they found themselves 1.02 to no score down at the break but emerged in the second half with great determination and skill to win by 2 points 2.05 2.03. While this win was a victory borne out of great teamwork a special mention must go to Eanna Motherway who gave an exhibition of hurling from the centre back position scoring St Colman’s entire tally.

Our attention now turns to Monday night where the Minor Hurlers are seeking to add a second County title in 3 days as they take on Charleville in the Premier 2 decider.

The game is a part of a double header in Pairc Ui Rinn with throw in at 6.45.

East Cork Final.

Congratulations to Dungourney on bringing the Jamsie Kelleher East Cork Hurling title back to the parish as champions for 2015.

Congratulations also to St Ita’s who played their part in an entertaining final in what was their first ever appearance in the decider.

Our field and complex looked splendid for the occasion and received plenty of compliments from all those that attended. Our thanks to everyone who helped out in any way as stewards on the night ensuring everything ran smoothly.

The Junior B hurlers are in semi-final action on Wednesday night against Watergrasshill with no venue at the time of writing please keep an eye locally and on social media for further details. The final will be played on next week-end as there is a county fixture the following weekend so hopefully a busy few weeks for all involved.
