Senior Hurling;

We had 5 players involved with Imokilly in their defeat to Sarsfields last week-end.Paudie O’Sullivan scored 4 points from half forward and Dillon Cahill lined out at midfield while Ashley Walsh, Keith Dennehy and Brian Fleming were unused substitutes.

East Cork Final;

The official launch of this year’s East Cork Hurling Final took place on Friday night last before a large attendance. Club Chairman John O’Lomasney welcomed everyone to what was described as Cluain Nua and wished both teams well in their quest to win the coveted Jamsie Kelleher trophy. Other speakers on the night were East Cork Board Chairman Dick Fitzgerald, East Cork Board P.R.O Mike O’Brien and on behalf of sponsors East Cork Oil Mr Con Ryan. Players from both clubs obliged with the usual photographs and the evening ended with the serving of refreshments for all in attendance.

On behalf of the Cloyne Club may we wish both teams and referee Pa Beausang all the very best.

German Invasion;

Confusion reigned over the last week as to whether Cloyne had been twinned with a town in Germany !!, the reason for the red, black and yellow flags and bunting around the town are in support of St Colman’s U13 and Minor hurlers who both play County Finals this coming week-end.

The U13 game is on Saturday 12th at 12.00 noon in Ballinure while the U18 game is on Monday 14th at 6.45 in P Ui Rinn and all support is appreciated.
