JFL Division 1

Lisgoold 1-3 (6)

Ballinacurra 5-15 (30)

At Lisgoold

July 31st 2015

Lisgoold lost in their latest league outing in very disappointing fashion against Ballinacurra. From start to finish, the green and white were very dominant against a team that look dis-interested, dis-jointed and dis-organised. Ballinacurra to their credit took full advantage and were ruthless as the green flag was raised several times in the first half and thus it was game over after 15 minutes. This leaves our chances of retaining our title hanging by a thread. We must gain maximum points in our last two games whilst hoping results go our way. However, going by this performance, it would be hard for us to justify advancement any further in this competition.

JHL Division 4

Lisgoold 2-11 (17)

Castlemartyr 0-8 (8)

At Lisgoold

August 3rd 2015

Our second string tagged two points on the board in an entertaining enough encounter in paric Liosgcúl. Manager Kevin O’Shea showing is shrewdness and guile play a team of youth and experience to gain a good win. Donal O’Leary, Jer O’Connell, Charles Smart, Peter Leahy and Comahan O’Shea were crucial players in this win. Young Kieran O’Shea raised the green flag in the first whilst the wily Jer O’Connell got the second in the second half. It was a good team

performance, with Kevin’s blend of youth and experience working very well. They have three league games left to play before their Junior C Championship Clash with Sarsfields.
