Both teams must meet again after referee Cathal McAllister made the decision to call off the game after 45 minutes with the teams level Dungourney 1-7 St.Catherines 2-4. Played in top of the hill pitch in Youghal conditions were atrocious savage gales blowing and milling rain from as early as 15 minutes it was doubtful the game would finish. Both teams battled hard but with conditions mistakes were a plenty. Half time score was Dungourney 0-6 St.Catherines 1-1 Shane Hegarty getting 0-4 from play and Ryan Denny 0-2 one from a free and one play. The conditions worsened in the second half and following the ball was difficult, Kenneth Kelleher popped up with a fine point from play. Martin Hennessy won a penalty dusted himself down and rattled the net. The game was soon called off. Team Dave Hennessy, Eoin Ahern, Mark Hegarty, Martin Wall, James McCarthy, James Leahy, Jack Griffin, Bill Ahern, Niall Motherway, Kenneth Kelleher(0-1), Shane Hegarty(0-4), Ryan Denny(0-2 1f), Kevin Rohan, Martin Hennessy(1-0 penalty), Shane Casey
