Cloyne GAA Notes;

27 July, 2015

We had no winner of last week’s Lotto draw for a €7,400 jackpot or no winner of the €1000 prize for matching 3 numbers plus the bonus.

The winning numbers drawn were 9,24,25,26 bonus 16.

Congratulations to Theresa Jermyn of Ballyfin who was the only match 3 winner and receives €150.

Next week’s draw for a €7,600 jackpot will take place in Auntie Biddies with tickets available from all local outlets.

Junior B Hurling League.

We took on local rivals Aghada in round 4 of the division 3 hurling league on Monday night last in Cloyne.At the end of a very entertaining hours hurling honours were even 2.17 apiece. This was a very satisfactory performance and result as we were 8 points in arrears at one stage and were short a few of our minor players who were rested considering their recent heavy schedule.

Ref B Murphy Carrigtohill.

In the next round of the Junior B hurling championship we drew Ballinacurra with an early August date the most likely.

Inter County;

A very black weekend indeed for the Cork hurlers and footballer’s with both suffering quite heavy and demoralising defeats. Loosing is bad enough but what was most disappointing in both cases was the manner of the defeats. Well done to Paudie who scored an excellent point when introduced as a second half sub.

This result means that the club scene can progress uninterrupted with our Bank Holiday Monday fixture v Carrigaline more than likely to go ahead, keep an eye locally and on social media for further updates.
