Lotto Results

The Glenville GAA Club lotto draw took place last week in Kades. There was no winner on the night of the jackpot that was worth €4100. The winning numbers on the night were 6, 7, 11, and 27. Small Cash prize winners of €20 were Mary O’Callaghan, Tuesday Club, Gerry Mackey, and Paud O’Neill. Next week’s jackpot will be worth €4200 draw will take place on Tuesday July 7th in the Anglers Rest.

Intermediate Football Championship draw

Last Tuesday night the draw for the next round of the intermediate football championship was made. We were drawn against Ballydesmond the last time we faced Ballydesmond was in a League match back in 2013 with the outcome going in favour of Glenville.

Monday July 6th P2 under 14 Football Championship v St Nicks in Glen Rovers

We would like to wish our under 14 footballers the very best of luck tonight as they take on St Nicks in the Plate side of the Premier 2 football Championship no doubt they will do the black and amber proud.

Tuesday June 30th Intermediate Football Challenge

Venue Glanworth

Our intermediate footballers continued their preparation for the fourth round of the championship with an away game against Glanworth. Conditions on day were Great we decided to play against the light breeze in the first half with was very low scoring as we only trailed by a single point at the interval 0-3 to 0-2. The game was brought into life in the second half with some free flowing scores from both teams but on the day the opposition were the better of the two teams as the ran out winners in the end on a score line of 1-9 to 0-3.

Friday July 3rd Div 2 East Cork Junior A Football League

Venue Glenville

Glenville 0-14

Castlemartyr 1-4

Our Junior A Footballers have maintained the un beaten run in the Division 2 league with a comfortable win over a dogged Castlemartyr side on home soil. Conditions on the day were ideal as both teams played out an entertaining game of football but on the days our lads proved too strong and came away with a victory. We are now one win away from reaching a league final for the second year in a row and are on course on winning back to back league titles.

Saturday July 4th under 12 A Football League

Venue Glenville

On Saturday afternoon last our under 12 footballers entertained league leaders Kilta og on home soil in the latest round of the Rebel og League. Condition on the day were ideal as both teams played out a good game of Gaelic football. In the end the opposition were the better of the two teams as they came away with a victory.

Juvenile Training will continue every Wednesday night from 7-8 in Glenville.
