Intermediate Hurling;
When a jockey has a bad fall it’s always said that the sooner he gets back on the horse the better, that is the motto of the intermediate hurling management as the team play 3 matches this week to try and get over the disappointing loss to Watergrasshill.
On Thursday 28th May we played Ballinhassig in a league game at their new field.
Despite both teams being short a few regulars it was a very enjoyable game and the teams couldn’t be separated finishing level at both half and full time.
At half time it was 1.05 to 8 points with Domhnall O’Sullivan contributing our goal and at full time the score read 2.11 to 17 points. The second goal was an unfortunate own goal by the Ballinhassig corner back.Top scorer on the night was Diarmuid O’Sullivan with 9 points(8 from placed balls).Others to play well were Stevie Beausang,Domhnall O,Sullivan and young Brian Walsh.

The second game is a practice game against Duhallow in Cloyne on Bank Holiday Monday night; a report will appear in next week’s notes as well as the report on game 3 which is a league game away to Fermoy on Thursday 4th June at 7.30pm.
Fermoy are flying high in Division 1 of the league and are currently unbeaten and had a good win over Valley Rovers in round 1 of the championship, so will present a serious challenge to the team.
