Killeagh 6:7 Glenville 2:2 Glenville faced a very strong Killeagh side on Saturday afternoon in the first outing of the u12 league. Played in extremely windy weather the sides were level throughout the first quarter with a great Eoghan Knapp goal giving Glenville a slight advantage. However despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Craig O’Reilly, Killeagh got two goals just before half time to give them the advantage. Playing against the wind was always going to be tough. Killeagh had purple patch in the third quarter where they scored a the majority of their scores, effectively ending the game. But Glenville showed signs of great potential in the latter stages, clawing back a goal and a point with ten minutes to go. There is definitely plenty of promise with this side for the year ahead. A lot of work will have to be done for Glenville to reach the standard of this grade, but this Glenville team will relish the challenge. Team: Craig O’Reilly, Liam O’Keefe, Patrick Ryan, Joseph O’Riordan, Brendan Lehane, Donal Sheehan, Sean Murphy, Andrew Chandler, Mark O’Donoghue, Eoin FitzGerald, Colin O’Keefe, Darragh Casey, Ciaran O’Riordan, Eoghan Knapp, Darragh O'Callaghan.

U14 premier 2 league Glenville 5.04 Midleton 1.11 Our u 14 team had a good win against a strong Midleton side in st Colman’s collage on Saturday last. We played against a strong wind in the first half. We did well against the strong wind and were level at half time. 1.07 to 3.01. Our

first half scores came from conor Gowen, Sean Desmond and dara o Leary. The second half was very even with score's hard to come by. Two points a piece were scored in the first 15 minutes, eventually we started to win more ball around the middle and our forwards started to get going. Two goals in quick succession by Sean and dara gave us a bit of breathing space. Midleton were always dangerous going forward. We finished strong with 2 points from dara and Sean. A good performance by all our lads against a good Midleton side. Under 13 premier 2 League

Glenville 3-6

St Finbarr’s 1-3

Our under 13 had a good against a strong St Finbarr’s side in Togher on Sunday last. Our lads decided to play against a soft breeze in the first half and they used that to their advantage and were five points in front at the interval 2-2 to 0-3. Our scores in the first half came from Darragh O’Sullivan and Liam Mc Carthy. St Finbarr’s had their dominance at the start of the second half as they reduced the gap to just two points with a well taken Goal. Our lad came into the game more in the second half winning the ball in the midfield area and Darragh O’Sullivan was causing a huge threat for the Finbarr’s backs in the full forward line every time he got the ball. Finbarr’s were always dangerous going forward but Conor Gowen proved too strong in the full backline. Our lads soon put the tie to bed with Darragh O’Sullivan second goal and points from Eoin Foley and Keelan O’Sullivan increased our lead out to seven points. We finished strong with two points from Ger Heffernan and Darragh O’Leary. A great performance from all our lads against a strong Finbarr’s side. Team Gary Doyle, Conor Gowen, Cathal Fitzgerald, Mark O’Donoghue, Sean O’Barret, Jack Ryall, Cormac Linehan, Darragh O’Sullivan, Darragh O’Leary, Keelan O’Sullivan, Ger Heffernan, Eoin Foley, Liam Mc Carthy, Colin O’Keeffe, Gael Guichard.
