U21 Football :Clonakilty Cuisine Cup Tournament semi-final. Fri 20th Feb Aghada 1-6 Clonakilty 3-15.

The loss of six starting players took its toll but the players can be proud on the way they fought against the odds. Clon started very well and dominated all over the pitch. We settled after a while and Jack Farmer got our first point this was followed by a great move which Aaron Berry put over the bar. Then shane Bennett got in on the act and put over a very good point .Clonakilty got a few soft goals and added more points before John Looney got our last two points of first half. Half Time score Aghada0-5 Clonakilty 3-10.

The second half was a better display from us with a few changes to personal we seemed to match them in key areas. John looney got our goal and one more point .Shane Bennett and Matthew Leahy got a point each. The final score line reflects how we did in second half.We held clonakilty to five points. Good performances by Jack Farmer. John Looney. Jordan Tynan.Aaron Berry. Daniel Creedon. The player’s mentors and parents must be praised for travelling to Clonakilty and representing our club. Preparation now for championship on Sat 7th March in Ballinacurra against Erins Own.
