Junior Football League
After 2 rounds of the Div 2 football league Castlemartyr have had mixed fortunes with one loss and one victory. In our first match away to Glanmire we lost on a score line of  1-08 to 1-04. Our second game resulted in a home win over St. Catherines by the narrowest of margines, 0-11 to 1-07. While numbers are tight at this time of year, a number of new players have been given the chance of making their adult debuts for the club. Eolann shanahan, Conor White, Anthony McAulliffe, Niall O’Donovan, Eoin Cashman and Cahal Martin have all featured and have proved a great addition to the adult club.
U21 Football Championship
This year Castlemartyr and Lisgoold have again joined forces as Castlegoold to compete in the East Cork b championship. Having received a walkover from Cobh in the first round, we then went on to beat Glenville on a score of 1-09 to 1-06 to set up a semi final with Dungourney.
Intermediate Hurling League
Castlemartyr will make their Intermediate hurling league debut with a Division 3 fixture against Blackrock in Church Road next Sunday morning the 1st March. Cha O’Neill and his team will be hoping that momentum from last year will see us get off to a good start in the league and set us up for a strong championship challenge.
