Aghada GAA Notes

25 January, 2015

Senior Football.

Tadgh Crowley Plate Sunday 25th January .

Aghada 1-9 Ilen Rovers 0-9.

High fives all-round for those who travelled to Baltimore on Sunday morning with 21 players togging out .This is a great sign of commitment and spirit within this group. A hard week in training showed with a good win over Ilen Rovers. We started very well and had a great first half playing against a very strong wind. The second half the lads drove on and kept possession .Pearse man of the match dominated midfield. Others who stood out were Aaron Stafford, Tim Harnett, Billy Hennessey, Kieran O Connor. Aaron Berry came on to score his first senior point first of many as they say. Andrew O Donoghue doing a Stephen Cluxton scored two points. This was a hard battle with Aghada deserving the win overall the better team. So its dust down the boots and back training Tues night for preparation for semi-final on weekend of the 31st January against Ballincollig.
