Great Night in Corrin.

Our joint Victory Social with the Ladies Football and camogie Clubs was a great occasion last Saturday night in the Corrin Event Centre. With a vast array of silverware on show it was an occasion of celebration and confidence for the season ahead. Our special guests on the night were our own Gerard Lane, Chairman of the Cork County Board and his wife Theresa. His new role encompasses a huge amount of engagements and Saturday last was no different. Ger had a meeting on Saturday in Croke Park then travelled to our function before heading for the Fermoy Dinner Dance after that. Because of his busy schedule presentations were made to Ger and Theresa at the commencement of proceedings in Corrin on Saturday night. We were served a beautiful meal on the night for which we thank the Corrin Event Centre and their caterers. Billy Finnegan Club Chairman and Ladies Club Chairman Mossy O Sullivan acted as joint MC's for the medal presentations. Retired Parish Priest and his successor Fr Michael Leamy PP presented the medals to the players. Both wished the Club all the very best for the 2015 season. When the formal proceedings were over DJ Mossy Dooley provided the entertainment. Special thanks to the various Club Officers who organised the event Dan, May and Betty in particular and Catherine Dorgan of the Corrin Event Centre.

Hurling Tournament.

The big news on the Club hurling front is that we are promoting an Inter County Senior Club Tournament at the end of February. It will be a four team tournament with Tallow (Waterford) , Murroe-Boher (Limerick), Lorrha (Tipperary) and Bride Rovers competing . back in the 1970's and early 80's when we held an annual Festival we played host to different Club teams in Senior Tournament games but as junior club we never participated in these games. This Tournament will usher in the 2015 playing season in an exciting fashion.

Work on our major new all weather facility continues with great progress to be seen. A painting team has also commenced work on the dressingrooms to ensure our facilities are in good order for all our players.
