Congratulations to Frankie Devlin of Ballinacurra who scooped the New Year’s draw worth €3,400.The numbers drawn were 7,16,27,28 bonus 15, no one matched the 3 numbers plus the bonus number for a €1000 prize.

Long Puck ;( Paddy Joe Ring Trophy)

Despite poor weather conditions a large crowd turned up for the traditional St Stephen’s Day Long Puck. Over 20 teams took part on the day before returning to Auntie Biddies for the prize giving. The winning team with a marvellous score of 44 shots given the conditions were James Lynch, Edward Griffin and Kevin Higgins.

Our gratitude to the Ring Family who sponsor the event, to everyone who took part, the organising committee and Eoin O’Gorman of Auntie Biddies for his hospitality.

Cloyne Commons Challenge;

Race number 2 of the 5 race series took place on Sunday 28th December with 218 runners taking part. A slightly colder day than day one but running conditions were very good and the large turnout were eager to rid themselves of the Christmas excesses.

Race number 3 will take place on Sunday 25th January again with a 9.30am start. Parking is available at both of Cloyne GAA fields and the registration of €4 will be taken at Harty’s Bar.

Christmas Swim;

This year we marked the 50th anniversary (ish) of the swim by trying to get 50 swimmers. We surpassed this by persuading over 70 people to take part and what a wonderful morning it was, the weather and the atmosphere was excellent. A big thank you to all who swam and to those that came along to watch and contributed towards the Senior Citizens Christmas party.

Training 2015.

Training for all club players is commencing on Tuesday night 13th January at 7.30 pm in the Old field.
