Juvenile new

As we approach the final few weeks of 2014, I would like to submit a brief report on behalf of Aghada Juvenile G.A.A. club. This year has proved to be a very successful year with increased membership, from U6's - Minor - playing football and hurling in the fantastic facilities and pitches provided in Rostellan. These players had a busy season attending training sessions, matches, under-age blitz and tournaments. A very sincere thanks to all coaches, referees, grounds personal, and people that helped with the catering for visiting teams throughout  the year. Congrats. to the Minor and U16 football county Champions.
Cul Camp - Thanks to everyone who helped out in anyway to ensure all of the120 children who participated and enjoyed an action packed week during the Cul Camp in August.
Scor - Congratulations to all those who represented Ahgada Club in the three section of Scor Competitions through out the year. With all the effort from our three National Schools and committed parents, we won the overall Dan Kenneally East Cork Trophy, and had representatives at County Level.
Irish College - It is great that our members availed of the scholarship  to Colaiste Na Mumhan each summer. Friends for Life Made in this College!!!!

Holly Road men again lead the way in Manchester

Fullens Gaels are again All Britain Junior Hurling champions & represent the best of All Britain junior teams in the AIB All Ireland Hurling Club championship in 2015.

This is their 5th time qualifying for this stage & were beaten in the All Ireland Club Final in Croke Park in 2013 by Thomastown (Kilkenny) & the eventual winners Creggan Kickhams( Antrim) last year in the semi final. So near & yet....they keep coming back with complete determination that 2015 will be THE year.

Our own Alan & Vincent & Donal Morrissey play a big part in the Fullen Gaels Club & team & are really looking forward to the All Ireland Q/Final v Modeligo ( Waterford) in Pairc na hEireann, Birmingham on 10th Jan next with the winners facing the Ulster champions away.

Fullen Gaels Hurling Club are unique in that they have no pitch, premises or dressing rooms of their own. Up to this year they were the only hurling club in Lancashire (now joined by Wolfe Tones ,Liverpool) & successfully competed & won the Warickshire Championship to go on & win the All Britain title v the best from London.

They tog out under the trees in Hough End, Manchester & train as hard as any home based club (imagine Van Persie doing it!!). They have less that 40 members & the hurling panel of 27, represents home grown Irish lads from 10 different counties. There is great unity of purpose in the Club to drive for All Ireland honours.

We wish them well & will follow their dream of All Ireland glory with great interest.
