AGM;

The club held its AGM on Monday Dec 1st 2014 at the club pavillion. It was very well attended and there was plenty of participation from the floor on all discussions of the clubs activities. The meeting was opened by our chairman, Kieran Scully and he invited Fr. Tim Hazelwood to lead a prayer and minute of reflection for deceased past members of our club. Club Secretary, Ray Dwyer presented a full and detailed account of all activities during the year and plenty of discussion took place during this review. Club Treasurer, Ger Ahern, presented detailed accounts of the clubs finances. Club Chairman, Kieran Scully, thanked all officers and committee members for their valuable and voluntary work for their club this past year. He thanked and praised all team mentors who put in tremendous effort with their teams throughout the year and pointed to the fact that we are able to field four adult hurling teams. He also noted and congratulated Mr. Damien Irwin and Mark Landers on their county appointments for 2015 and also paid tribute to the work at county and divisional level by Tracey Kennedy and wished her well in the forthcoming county appointments. In summing up he thanked all sponsors who donated so generously to the club no matter how small or big their contribution was and hoped that they will continue with their valuable support of Killeagh GAA Club in the coming year. All current officers were returned and Mr. Padraig McGrath was congratulated as our new Vice Chairman. Team management and mentors for all teams were appointed and all were wished well for the coming season. Once all the formalities were completed, the meeting was closed and all those attending enjoyed light refreshments afterwards. Once again thanks to all who helped out on the night and thanks to all who attended.

JFL Div 3 League Final Replay;

Glenbower Rovers took on Glenville in the replay of the East Cork Division 3 Football League final under lights in Carrigtwohill on Thursday night last.

These two teams resumed where they left off last week with both producing another good tough game of football played to a high standard. Glenville made a good start with an early goal, but the killeagh attack kicked into gear with Bryan McCarthy, Noel O'Connor and Deccy Long kicking some excellent scores and with Aidan Morrison and Patrick O Brien playing excellent. However Glenville were always dangerous when they broke up field and after conceding another goal we finished the half two points down on a score of 0-07 to 2-03.

It was all to play for in the second half with both teams giving it their all. While we had a good amount of possession we found it difficult to get scores. Glenville pushed it out to a four point game before Deccy Long scored a well taken goal after a great run by the hardworking Paul Keniry.

Glenville then went on to score two points and again went a goal ahead. We pushed on in attempt for a second goal and were unlucky to see Noel O' Connors effort come back off the crossbar and the Glenville keeper making a a good save from a Bryan Mc effort, before time ran out. The score ended 1-08 to 2-08

and it was a disappointing end to the season. But the selectors were appreciative of the effort put in by all players during the year and especially in the last two games.
