JFL Div 3 League Final;
On Tuesday last the 25th of November Glenbower Rovers took on Glenville in this final in Glanmire.
We started well with early points from Deccy Long and Bryan McCarthy, we were then caught on the counter attack by Glenville who used the ball well and scored two goals against the run of play. We dug in deep and we were only a point behind at half time.
Despite going behind by three points in the second half we started to dominate the game and went level with 15 min remaining. Glenville then got their third goal and we again had to battle back with POB dominating around the middle of the field and was ably assisted by Brendan Delaney and Ger Collins Bryan Mc continued to punish Glenville for their indiscipline with points from brilliant free taking. We drew level and had a chance to win it, but extra time was the order of the day.
However five mins into extra time the lights went out and the game is to be replayed on Thursday 4/12/14 in Carrigtwohill at 8.15 pm.
Credit has to go to both teams who put in a great effort in a good tough game played at a high standard and played in the right spirit.
Special mention has to go to lads who travelled from Tralee and Limerick for the game. So we look forward to another game with Glenville next Thursday all support is welcome.

Juvenile Notes:
GREAT CELEBRATIONS AT THE GARRYVOE HOTEL!
Saturday last, November 29th, saw every square inch used in the Garryvoe Ballroom as over 230 people of all ages arrived for the Killeagh-Ita’s Juvenile GAA Party 2014, where the VIPs were the victorious Under 12, Under 13 and Under 16 teams who all won titles in 2014. Accompanying these 65 players were their proud parents, grandparents and friends. Special guests on the night were Jim Forbes, Cathaoirleach, Rebel Óg Central Board, Fr. Tim Hazelwood, PP, and our own local hero Joe Deane. Joe may have stepped out from the spotlight on the national stage now, but for Killeagh he had as good a year as ever in 2014, so it was a special privilege for these boys to be presented with their medals by the player whom all of them will forever try to emulate. Many thanks to Garryvoe Hotel for their accommodation of the full house, to our bainisteoiri Donie, Richie and Ger (with Tomas) for their fine speeches on the night in introducing their teams, and a special thanks to those who planned and organised the night – especially Karen, Caroline, Liz, Olivia, Tricia and Ursula. DJ Eoin kept young and old entertained with a great range of music once the formalities had been completed, although for some the heat and the noise forced them outside on a night where the temperature was more akin to an August than a late November evening. It was a fitting way to end 2014!
Bag Packing – Get Packing!
We have our slot booked in with Tesco in Market Green for a day of Bag Packing, now all we need is the staff! The date is Sunday December 14th, and the time is 11.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. We will be asking all parents of juvenile players to give one hour of your time to help with the Bag Pack Fundraising on the day. Christine O’Riordan is our co-ordinator, so please contact Christine on 087-9592346 now to offer your services.
