FOOTBALL SEMI FINAL ON SATURDAY.against Glenville's third team. On Sunday last they had a 2 10 to 1 9 win over Lisgoo;d in Rathcormac

Our Junior Football team take on Glenville in the semi final of the East Cork Junior B Football championship on this coming Saturday November the 8th. We've defeated Cloyne and Russell Rovers in our opening games with relative ease. This time last year we faced Aghada's third team in the closing stages of the competition and were defeated so there can be no complacency against Glenville's third team. On Sunday last they had a 2 10 to 1 9 win over Lisgoold in Rathcormac and will face the semi final with confidence. We are still short several players due to injuries and they will be sorely missed. The game is fixed for 3 0 clock on Saturday but at the time of writing no venue had been finalised - with Castlelyons a possibility. This will be a big challenge so go for it lads.

Last week’s draw took place in O’Coileán’s Bar for a jackpot of €5,400.
The four numbers drawn were 11/15/22 and 27 and there was no jackpot winner.

The winners of the five €30 'Lucky Dips’ were;
. Fr. O’Donnell
. Elanor Quirke c/o M.O’Flynn
. Bill Kelleher, Grange
. Maeve McCarthy c/o Fitzy’s Fast Food
. Mary Casey c/o Laya Healthcare.

This  week’s draw took place in Barry’s Bar for a jackpot of €5,600.

Tickets for the weekly Lotto Draw are priced at just  € 2 each and can be purchased from Club members. They are also available in local business outlets  and online at Support for the weekly Lotto is vital and greatly appreciated as the costs involved in running a GAA Club are increasing all the time. As well as the day to day costs we are planning more major Development work in Pairc na Bride in 2014/15 so finance is always needed. We are always looking for new Lotto Ticket sellers so if you could sell even a few tickets each week it would be of great benefit to the Club.

Co. Convention.
In a break with the tradition of recent times the Cork Co. GAA Convention this years reverts to a Sunday, December the 14th in Pairc Ui Chaoimh at 1.30. Tis will probably be the last major GAA event to be held in 'the Park' before redevelopment work commences.

The collecting of GAA programmes, books and other publications has become a very popular hobby in recent decades. The selling, trading and swopping of these items is now a big sideline for many GAA fans. On Sunday November the 30th a  GAA Memorabilia Fair will be held in Thurles, the town where the Association was founded in 1884. For collectors and sellers and those with a love of the GAA's history this event will be an occasion not to be missed. For further information contact Seamus J. King at 087 2246245/
