Cloyne GAA Notes;

The winning numbers drawn were 16,19,20,22 bonus 27.
Congratulations to Kevin McCarthy of Berkley Court who was the only winner of the €150 prize.
Next week’s draw for a €9,600 jackpot will take place in Aunty Biddies Bar with tickets available from all local outlets.

Junior B Football Championship;
Our last chance for championship success in 2014 came to a disappointing end on Monday 20th in Carrigtohill when we lost to the locals by 3 points.
The first half we played against the strong wind and playing some nice passing football ended the half leading by 3 points to 2.Liam Murphy and Brian O’Shea with 2 were our scorers.
Carrigtohill with the wind to their backs started the second half in determined fashion pointing straight from the throw in and followed this up with 2 pointed frees to take the lead for the first time.
The defining moment of the game was the concession of a soft goal when a mix up between goalie and full back resulted in a tap in for the Carrigtohill forward.
Our response to this setback was admirable and we had the next 3 scores to reduce the deficit to 2 points, Tommy O’Shea with points from a free and play and a Liam Murphy free our scorers.
Try as we might we couldn’t breach the Carrig defense for the all-important goal and a breakaway point sealed the Carrigtohill victory 1.06 to 6 points.
