Castlelyons play Ballinacurra in the East Cork JBF C

At the time of going to Press our next game in the East Cork JBFC versus Ballinacurra is fixed for Saturday evening, 11th October at 7pm with Venue TBA.
Can this game live up to the excitement of the Junior B Hurling Championship between Ballinacurra and ourselves which had it all – hurling, passion, heart and of course a load of goals when we played out a draw scoring 4 – 28 to Ballinacurra 8 – 16.  However, Ballinacurra did win the hurling replay so, hopefully, we can carry the day in football.
Of course, we are not involved in the business end of the hurling season this year so we can concentrate in football but Ballinacurra are a really formidable outfit and will be really anxious to beat Castlelyons the recently crowned County JBF Champions.
These games should really assist in our preparation for the Munster Junior B Football Championship.  This is an excellent competition and involves all the Junior B Champions from each County and is played out in Knockaderry, Co. Limerick run by the home Club over a few weeks.  It’s all to play for and we could have a great year yet!

Players Meeting
There will be a Players Meeting held shortly to discuss the hurling season with a view to developing a more formidable structure for next year.
Cork GAA Clubs Draw.
Tickets are now on sale for the Cork GAA Clubs Draw.  It is hoped that there will be good support for this Annual Draw and we will be holding our second meeting on the draw on Monday the 20th October, at 9pm.
Votes of Sympathy
