JHL Division 4

Lisgoold 0-14 (14)
Carrignavar 1-18 (21)
At Carrignavar
26th August 2014

Lisgoold fielded an experimental team as they played a good sporting game with the hosts. The game ebbed and flowed throughout the hour and with sterling performances from Finbarr Brosnan, Owen Hegarty and Darragh Fleming, it looked like we could take the points. However Carrignavar upped their game and this ensured the hosts would take the points on this occasion.

JFL Division 1

Lisgoold 1-7 (10)
Erins Own 1-9 (12)
At Caherlag
1st September 2014

A frustrating night for all involved as Lisgoold crash to another defeat in the Division one league. A total of 19 wides to 5 summed up our evening, as our forwards radar was way off the mark. Bryan O’Sullivan was industrious as usual scoring 1-1 in the first quarter, coupled with John Cronin and Cathal Cashman we were doing fine. However, it was our wayward shooting that was our downfall. At 1-3 to 1-2 on the short whistle one was confident we could hold out for a win, coupled with Erins Own getting a man sent off at the 36th minute, one hoped that we squeeze out a victory. However, the hosts rallied and fully deserved their win. That leaves us needing a win in our last game to play in the league final. This is a home fixture vs Fr O’Neills which is due to be played next week.
