Castlemartyr 2-13 Cobh 2-09
Castlemartyr progressed to the semi-final of the Junior C East Cork Hurling after a 4 point win over Cobh. Playing with the wind in the first half, Castlemartyr led by 1-10 to 0-04 points with the goal coming on the stroke of half time from Evan O’Keeffe. As expected, Cobh mounted a strong second half challenge with the elements in their favor. Two luck Cobh goals kept them in the game, but a Colin Bowens goal from a free ensured that they could never get close enough. Castlemartyr now go on to play the winners of Lisgoold and Russell Rovers who drew their Quarter Final.

Cork Intermediates Win All Ireland Title
Congratulations to the Cork intermediate hurlers who won the All Ireland Title recently, beating wexford in the final. We had a number of individuals involved this year with both Barry Lawton and Barra O’Tuama members of the panel. Barry came on in the final and scored two points from play. Seamus Lawton was also a selector. Well dome to all involved.
East Cork Junior A Hurling Semi Final
This weekend sees Castlemartyr Junior A squad back in championship action as they take on Sarsfields in the East Cork semi final. Having played Sars already in the first round, they will be trying to repeat that victory. Sarsfields have a number of new players added to their squad from that night so it will take a huge performance if we are to reach the final. The fixture still has to be finalised so check www.castlemartyrgaa.com for details.
