Inter County.
Commiserations to Paudie O’Sullivan and the rest of the Cork team and management on their defeat to Tipperary on Sunday.
It was a very uncharacteristic performance from this bunch of players and on the day everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong.
Congratulations to Tipperary who go on to meet Kilkenny in the final for the fourth time in the last six years.

Following Cork’s loss the likelihood is that round 4 of the premier Intermediate championship game v Bandon will go ahead as scheduled which is 6.15pm on Saturday 23rd August in Pairc Ui Rinn.Keep an eye locally for any changes to this fixture.
Following their great victory over Killeagh the Junior B hurlers await the outcome of the Erin’s Own and Midleton replay to determine their next opponents. This replay is on Wednesday 20th August.

Golf Classic.
Our recently held Golf Classic was a great success with 30 teams taking part on the day. The eventual winners were A.I.B Bank with an 11 under par gross score. Our thanks to Maurice Maloney and his staff of East Cork Golf Club for their hospitality on the day. For full list of the prizewinners check out the Golf society section of our website
Thank you also to everyone who entered teams and sponsored Tee Boxes, your support is greatly appreciated.
