Junior A Hurling Championship: Erins Own 0-13 Lisgoold 0-14,  12/07/2014

On Saturday night we played lisgoold in Rd 4 down in Rostellan in which was to be a tight battle we had to be content in missing a lot of key players in the likes of Martin Buckley, Michael Murphy, Cathal O Mahony, Jack Sheehan & Andrew Power , how ever we started well with Alan Bowen in full forward opening the scoring in the 4th Minute, he added another 2 from play & 2 from frees before the break, Lisgoold always stayed within reach & were showing to be very strong in midfield, Stephen Horgan & Cathal Heavy adding a point each & James O Carroll putting over 2 giving us a one point lead at the break of 0-09 to 0-08, the second half was point for point Alan Bowen putting over a free, the introduction of Fergus Murphy brought a spark to the half forward line and he was quick to but one between the posts, James O Carroll got another 2 from play, but in the end Lisgoold were showing to be to strong in the middle of the field & they managed to hold on to a one point lead to give them the win & bring our Junior A championship season to an end, Lisgoold will go on to meet Sarsfields in the quarter final,
