Club Lotto

Castlelyons GAA Club Lotto has been in existence over 15 years and over that time it has been a tremendous success. Since it began the Club Lotto has been the main source of funding for all three clubs in the parish Adult, Juvenile and Camogie and has helped finance numerous projects within the club  in terms of providing improved facilities for both playing and training. To this end the club is appealing to all members and supporters to purchases a Lotto ticket on a weekly basis and also to encourage friends, family and neighbors to do the same. Tickets can be purchased at Castlelyons PO, Bobs Shop,Abbey Tavern,Farriers Bar and from Lotto Agents within the club so please support. This week's jackpot is  €6800  who knows  ''It Could Be You''.

PI Hurling

Castlelyons and Mallow played a challenge match in Castlelyons on Friday evening last. Weather conditions turned very nasty for the match with the first half providing a good run out for the team as most of the players had not played a match in a few weeks. Unfortunately as conditions worsened in the second half it became extremely wet and slippy and as it was of no benefit to either team the match was blown up early. There are 2 challenge matches down for next weekend against Capperquin and Cashel which will give the team a good run out ahead of the championship match against Watergrasshill which takes place in 4 weeks time.

JB Hurling League.

Castlelyons  1-11   St Ita's  1-11

This game took place in Castlelyons on Monday evening last. On a bright breezy evening both teams took a while to settle with Castlelyons getting the first score a point from R O Regan. M J Dorgan  got through for a goal shortly after but unfortunately had to leave the pitch with a shoulder injury so best of luck to him and hope he is back playing shortly. R O Regan ,T McCarthy and D Tobin all scored points to leave Castlelyons leading at half time 1-06 to 0-04. St Ita's, now playing with the wind, scored the first 3 points of the second half to reduce our lead to 1 point. The rest of the match was nip and tuck until St Ita's scored a goal from a free, with time nearly up, to level the match and the teams finishing level on 1-11 each.

Well done to all the panel and a good effort was put in by everyone.
