Killeagh Notes

21 June, 2009

While the disappointment of being out of the senior hurling championship is hard to take we still lie second with 13 points and 5 games to play on the league table and the chance of silverware should give us great incentive to continue hurling for the summer. And with our Junior teams both hurling and football all still in championship, there is a still a busy summer to look forward to.
There was no winner of last week's lotto. The numbers were 3, 17, 22. The jackpot now stands at €1,600.
Fixtures: Junior A Hurling Championship vs Fr O'Neills on Sat 27th in Youghal at 4pm.
JHL Division 3 vs Watergrasshill on Sun 28th in Killeagh at 12:30pm.
Fast approaching is our annual Golf Classic which will be held in Youghal Golf Club on July 9th, 10th and 11th. It is very important that this event be supported by the parish as it raises valuable funds for the club and is also a very enjoyable day out. Anyone interested in entering a team should contact Ray Rochford or any club member to book their place.
Thanks to all those who helped out on the gate last Saturday night for the junior hurling championship game.
Best of luck to the Junior A Hurlers on Saturday evening. Support is vital.
