Things are quite at senior level at the moment with only three championships left , J B H Quarter final against Dungourney is next up on Sat 5th Oct. in the J B F C we play St Catherines while the Junior C team play our old friends Glenville.

The rest of the club is hopping.
Last Sat the u16 hurlers qualified for the Premier 2 county final after they beat Glen rvs by 1-15 to 2-10
The Ladies are also in a lot of finals as are the camogie people follow their progress on the web site

Finally the club wish all the best to our two girls on the Cork senior football panel in the All Ireland final next Sunday. Lets hope Emma Farmer and Róisín Phelan join Conor, Pearse and Kieran, the elite band of Aghada people who have All Ireland senior football medals

Aghada played 2 football games against Cobh in this league final encounter. They won the first one 5-7 to 3-7, but lost the other game 5-9 to 2-6, losing out by 1 goal and 3 points on aggregate score. Hard luck to a talented bunch.

Fri 20th Sept Minor Ladies E C Semi final Aghada 4-5 Watergrasshill 2-7
The girls went to the well tonight to pull through this game. In poor conditions A teak tough Watergrasshill outfit were no pushover and put it up to Aghada from the start. Hannah Looney was in magnificent form and complimented a great all round display with a goal that must be a contender for goal of the season. Again Sinead, Cassie, Elaine, Moira, Orla, and Amanda were on form and as always were backed up by the brave Caoimhe Robinson in between the sticks. Hannah Rose and Christine were on top form and kept Aghada going forward all night. Again Claire (goal) led the line like a lion heart, Sophie B, Nessa, Ciara McGrath and Sorcha (goal) worked their socks off and were Aghada’s first line of defence. Jodi, Sophie Long, Ciara C. and Julie came in to keep us going and close out the game. The Girls look forward to the final now. Keep her lit Aghada!
